Katherine Hooker ‘Buxton Coat’ – £775.00 (similar)

Taylor’s stunningly sophisticated coat is by London-based designer Katherine Hooker who Taylor has turned to on multiple occasions for simple woollen outerwear.

On this occasion, how great are both the rich navy colour of this coat plus those contrast cuffs?

Oh god how good is this navy coat against the pop of red of her heel and those contrast cuffs are such an excellent little detail to differentiate the otherwise completely bare and simple silhouette of the coat itself. 

Just for fun, I’ve also begun testing myself and started to write a caption without looking at my previous commentary to see what is different but also the same. I just took a look up and had a little laugh. I hope you did, too.

Louis Vuitton Fall 2015

Considering who Taylor ended up wearing that night it shouldn’t really come as a surprise that her coat is also by the brand – albeit from their Fall 2015 collection. 

If I personally just imagine her outfit as this coat and those killer heels, I can sleep happy.

Frankly one of her best looks from Bleachella and one of her best coat and shoe moments possibly ever. It’s been four years and I’m still going to continue to ignore what was underneath this coat and just think fondly on this as her Met Gala appearance that year because truly the hair, lipstick, coat, and shoes are all working for me this way and this way only.

What an iconic moment to kickstart what was then only known as “TS7″ and we have now embraced as the Lover era. All things considered, I wish that this tie dye and pastel fashion had been more consistently executed throughout the era. It was fun while it lasted, though! I’d consider this outfit as synonymous with the start of an era as Taylor’s iconic Aqua pink marled co-ord set for 1989.
