Stuart Weitzman ‘Sultry Sandal in Silver’ – $435.00

As they were practically the unofficial shoe sponsor of The 1989 Tour, it’s a perfect closer to the era that Taylor wear one more pair of Weitzman sandals to the red carpet. These ones a golden metallic version of the pictured ‘Sultry’ sandal.

Worn with: Versace ensemble and Ofira + Lorraine Schwartz jewelry

Atelier Versace dress

It’s no surprise that to end out the Era of the Crop Top, she would go all out for music’s biggest night in this bold and vibrant bandeau and maxi skirt by Versace.

My initial impression was “Malibu Barbie Anna Wintour”

What came shortly after was me thinking that I came this||close to predicting an extremely similar silhouette by J. Mendel. And my third impression was HAH. I finally landed a correct brand guess from my prediction post!

Overall, I love that she went for it in terms of colour (no metallics! yay!) but would have preferred the skirt in a different colour + cut and different material as the fuchsia and sheen of the skirt are both giving me hard no vibes. As is, it’s like her last year’s Elie Saab gown got given a new colour treatment and slashed at the waist.

Worn with: Ofira + Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Stuart Weitzman sandals

What do you think of Taylor in Versace at the 2016 Grammys?

Wildfox Couture ‘Romantic Party V-Neck Sweater’ – $150.00

Like the angel she is, Taylor’s Valentine this year was a fan she invited into her New York apartment. She was appropriately (and adorably) wearing this ‘Romantic’ sweater by Wildfox.

Worn with: Dauphines of New York flower crown

Happy Valentine’s Day TSS-ers!

Today’s flashbacks will include all heart-related items Tay has lovingly worn.

I hope your day is filled with love – romantic, platonic, familial, or otherwise.

Taylor Swift Style – 2016 Grammys

Alright. Here we go. I swear, with each passing awards ceremony I try to cut it closer and closer with these predictions.

The
even-yeared Grammys for Taylor usually signify the beginning cusp of a
new aesthetic for the coming era. But with TS6 being an uncertain
release for the fall of this year, I wasn’t sure what theme to go with.

What immediately struck me, however, was sharp tailoring and a more mature style.

So here we go!

  • Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2016
    I
couldn’t shake the idea of Taylor potentially wearing something more
tailored, sexy, and mature. I found that completely encapsulated in this
v-neck jumpsuit by Alexandre Vauthier. The belting around the waist
    sealed it for me.
I’d love to see this styled with a serious smoky eye and a pair of Sophia Webster wing heels.
  • Versace Spring 2016
The idea of Taylor wearing a pared down suit to the red carpet has come to me before. Particularly in the form of this red Alexandre Vauthier suit
I predicted for the Brits last year that still to this day I cannot get
out of my mind. This military green shade of green with a bandeau would
make such a statement I don’t know what I’d do with myself.
Styled with slicked back hair, a thin body chain and gorgeous earrings would be the finishing touches.
  • Bibhu Mohapatra Spring 2016
    I
hemmed and hawed over this slot for about … a few hours. Quite
literally as I am typing this up, I just switched this dress so talk
about last minute. What originally took up space here was this J. Mendel Spring 2016 flowy piece.
But my desire to choose something more mature over something “expected”
won out over wanting to provide a more palatable option to you TSS-ers.

I picked this gown because of its simplicity, because of its
colour, and because I think it could symbolize a new mature beginning.
  • Marc Jacobs Spring 2016
I can’t get over how fierce this gown is. I love the colour, the flow, how amazing Taylor’s legs would look in it and how different it is from anything she’s ever worn. It’s like a fairy princess that tore her way through a thorny forest and all that remains of her dress is this deconstructed sheer navy gown.

My other runners-up for the evening include this white Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2016 gown (I just love the subtle skin-baring detail at the torso), this Spring 2016 Bibhu Mohapatra gown with an interesting neckline, and this lovely and haunting Vionnet Spring 2016 black gown.

What do you think of my choices, TSS-ers? Do you have a favourite, or do you have another designer you think Taylor will wear on Monday night?

— Veering completely left, instead of an elegant design as many of you thought my choices should have reflected, Taylor wore a hot pink and orange two-piece by Atelier Versace.

BCBG Max Azria ‘Dusty Teal Chiffon Pleated Dress’ – no longer available

Basically the most tiniest and smallest of Tay’s. Back in 2006/2007, Taylor almost always turned to BCBG Max Azria for her musical performances.

Look at how cute she is!
