Are you sure we’re not the same person?
Definitely agreed.
I love it when she changes stuff up and wears something that isn’t white or made of chiffon.
Or gold.
Or sparkly.
Or gold and sparkly.
Critically Kind takes on Taylor's fashion

I don’t know if “tacky” is the word, but the wardrobe is definitely costume-y. Because, well, they’re costumes. The tour is meant to be theatrical and over the top so, yes, the wardrobe isn’t necessarily going to reflect her candid style or her red carpet style.

Subtle, she is not.

Sometimes I think it veers off into really weird places but I think Taylor manages vintage-esque styles with modern pieces fairly well most of the time. Granted, Taylor has a model’s figure so it’s difficult finding things that she can’t pull off.
As for her stylist, yes she has one, but Taylor does have final say in what she wears. I think she’s very much in control of her image and what direction she wants to take with her brand. This vintage/modern twist is just the latest in its evolution.

The other anon was teasing. Taylor once said in an interview, when discussing how she likes to experiment with makeup, that when she was younger she used to do black eyeshadow from her lashline all the way to her browline.
I’ll allow you to imagine that now (in horror).
