Now that the news for the album is officially out, I wanted to make a post letting you all know that Taylor Swift Style is a spoiler-free blog for 1989.

As there will undoubtedly be quotes in the future from magazines and papers hyping up the album and writing quick breakdowns of each of the songs off the new album I’m letting you all know that I don’t want to hear about it. I have blacklisted ‘1989’ and I am going to be doing my best to not hear anything about the rest of the songs off the album, the lyrics, the lyric booklet, the secret messages, the CD design, etc.

This is not me judging other people for not being spoiler-free. This is simply me letting you all know that this is how I have always approached her albums and how I always will.

I will continue to document Taylor’s clothes from her appearances, candids, events and performances but will be trying my best to avoid any further exposure to the album photoshoot. Which I know will probably be a disappointment to a lot of you.

With this in mind, I truly hope you guys understand how I feel about this and don’t drop spoiler-related content into my inbox. I hope I’ve made it clear with how I run this blog how much I love talking to you guys about everything and I don’t want to discourage that. But please respect my personal wishes of being able to buy this album and enjoy everything about it visually, sonically and on all levels with fresh eyes.
