Balmain Spring 2010

Balmain is usually fairly selective with giving out their clothes – for red carpets they normally reserve their clothes for Rihanna, Zoe Saldana and now Miley Cyrus. For her April 2010 spread with Elle, though, Taylor got to toughen up for a second alternate cover for the magazine in this distressed Balmain jacket and shirt.

Check out the heavy bronzing/contour work makeup artist Fulvia Farolfi did on Taylor’s face for this shot. Very reminiscient of the runway look.

Check out the rest of Taylor’s photo spread in Elle here.

Michael Kors Spring 2010 RTW

I remember when this photoshoot first came out and I freaked because they straightened Taylor’s hair for parts of it. Oh, if we only knew what was to come.

For one of the two cover shots for this issue, Taylor wore this sparkly (shocker) and illusion-trim Michael Kors shift dress. Big props to hair stylist Ken O’Rourke who teased Taylor’s curls into the huge, voluminous rings you see here. Gives the whole vibe a very 70s-disco feel.

Taylor Guitars ‘Gig Bag’ – $50.00 (similar)

With a gig bag this small, Taylor is no doubt carrying a Baby Taylor guitar – an acoustic that is ¾ the size of a normal Dreadnought acoustic. It’s possible she’s even carrying her own Taylor Swift for Taylor Guitars baby Taylor (say that three times fast) but it’s impossible to know as she’s only carried this baby gig bag at airports.

Check out the multiple times Taylor has carried this gig bag here.

Worn with: Ann Taylor top, Rag & Bone booties and Dolce & Gabbana bag

Ann Taylor ‘Petite Charming Bow Tee’ – $46.00 (currently sold out)

How cute is the bow back on this (totally affordable) bow back sweater that Taylor wore as part of her monochromatic airport look?

And how much better is it that we can see it so clearly because of her amazing short hair. Which I’m in love with. The fact that the curls are making a comeback as well has me so happy. I’ve always loved this length on girls and I think it takes Taylor’s style to a whole new chic, put-together and mature level. She looks so much more her age now I couldn’t be happier.
