That junk food shirt has a different neckline than the one Taylor wore, so do we know where the exact one is or is this the closest we have?

Well, technically speaking, the scoop neck version of the shirt that TSS originally posted is the most similar style of Taylor’s. The new heather shirt that Junk Food has released is Taylor’s exact colour. But, after speaking with Junk Food, Taylor’s actual exact shirt is a custom from the company. So, it’s a variation of the scoop neck in the heather tee colour.

So, from here you have two options: Opt for the same silhouette, or the same colour as Taylor’s shirt.

What was taylors style during the ‘Taylor Swift’ era?

Taylor’s style during the self-titled era was very young country, over-exaggerated and loud. For example, her hair was much bigger and often left untamed. The curls were either styled to be naturally frizzy or corkscrewed and voluminous.

For the majority of award shows I can only describe her go-to style as “prom dress”-y. Which, given the fact that she was a high school student and her framework for style was prom dresses, isn’t really that surprising.

She almost exclusively wore cowboy boots during concerts and a few award shows.

Her concert-wear consisted of spaghetti strap dresses with deep v-cuts, embellished with either ruffles or sequins.

Taylor also had a tendency during this era to stack her bracelets (only on her left hand so her jewelry wouldn’t interfere with her strumming right hand when playing guitar). This went on until the Fearless era. The self-titled era is also marked by the ‘Sharpie Heart’ which Taylor drew on the top of her left foot (you can see it in some of the artwork from the self-titled album booklet). She once stated she would get it tattooed on if her album sold a certain amount of records. This was later redacted when her dad told her if she got a tattoo he would “sand it off with a belt sander.”

What’s your favourite outfit from the red tour?

The black Marina Toybina ensemble for “I Knew You Were Trouble.” I also love the bustle Marina added for the “All Too Well” performance. =)

But I also like the “You Belong With Me” and “The Lucky One” ensembles.

– Sarah

My favorite outfit is the  BLEULAB custom shorts and Lanvin customized oxfords that Taylor wears when she opens the concert with “Holy Ground.” But I have to agree with Sarah on the “You Belong With Me” and ”The Lucky One” looks!

What video did that choker gif come from?

It’s from an old documentary that CMT did when Scott Borchetta created Big Machine Records. They did a bunch of profiles on the very first artists signed to the label.

The video is here and the choker line comes in at about 3:02.

Coincidentally, she also wears a Hollister top in the video so you can confirm/check out her uber-preppy style way back then.
