Carolina Herrera ‘CH Spring 2014 Sandal’

I’m sure with that flash of red a lot of you thought these beautifully minimalist sandals were Louboutins, but they’re actually by Carolina Herrera.

I’ve always dreamed of Taylor rocking a silhouette similar to Stuart Weitzman’s celebrity fave ‘The Nudist’ sandal so imagine my surprise when she left her apartment building wearing these sandals! So in love.

71st Annual Golden Globe Awards | January 12, 2014

Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2014

After some fun early predictions to last minute (and correct!) predictions, Taylor stepped out on the red carpet at this year’s Golden Globes looking absolutely stunning in this bi-coloured Carolina Herrera gown from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection. The red gown with a dramatic bustle also featured a contrast black bodice for added interest.

Her pinned glamour waves are not only reminiscient of old-school Hollywood but also of her formerly favoured curled updos.

I loved the silhouette of the dress and the interesting structure of the back. Taylor’s frequent decision to leave her neckline bare is always an admirable choice for me and I loved the subtle punctuation of jewels via her statement rings and earrings. The elegant drama of the skirt was a perfect entrance to this prestigious event and was a mature choice for Taylor. The fact that she opted for a designer she hasn’t worn before to really step out of her comfort zone was also something I loved.
