1989 Tour | “I Know Places”/”All You Had To Do Was Stay” | [5/11]

Jessica Jones custom

What first began as an outfit Taylor wore solely for “I Know Places” and “All You Had To Do Was Stay” has quickly grown to be Taylor’s longest-wearing costume on the tour.

After getting rid of her original b-stage ensemble (another Jessica Jones custom two-piece), Taylor now wears this crystal-trim and garter set for her surprise acoustic song set as well as “Clean”, “Love Story” and acts as one of her Surprise Guest outfits.

This is also the only outfit on the tour that Taylor does not have alternate versions of.

Worn with: Stuart Weitzman boots

1989 Tour | “How You Get the Girl” | [4/11] | Versions 1 + 2

Asher Levine custom

“Bad Blood” music video costumer Asher Levine custom-created Taylor’s light-up top and skirt (as well her dozen back-up dancers suits) for the adorable lite-brite performance of “How You Get the Girl.”

Personally, this track has never been a favourite of mine but I really loved the charming performance for the tour. It made me like the song a little bit more!

During the later tour dates, Taylor switched the original tank version of this light-up top to a bandeau-style one.

Worn with: Stagelight Premiere heels

1989 Tour | “I Knew You Were Trouble.”/”I Wish You Would” | [3/11]

Jessica Jones custom

Taylor only briefly wore this jeweled co-ord set, another by the tour’s designer Jessica Jones. I was sad to see it go as I think Taylor rocks it.

It was replaced with the opening number’s bra and a plain pair of shorts.

It’s also been noted that this set is like a 1989 version of Taylor’s “Should’ve Said No” dress by Marc Bouwer that she wore for the Fearless Tour.

1989 Tour Meet & Greet | Los Angeles, CA | August 26, 2015

Lucy Paris ‘Catie Criss Cross Crop Top’ – $48.00 $16.80
Lucy Paris ‘Catie Pencil Skirt’ – $58.00 $32.48

With no Loft ‘89 on Night #5 at the Staples Center, Taylor still met people pre-show and wore this affordable striped co-ord set by Lucy Paris. I’m always going to be a sucker for a pop of red against black/white stripes. It’s a classic combo that I think will always work. Though I wouldn’t say no to a brief break from the co-ord.

Countdown to the Billboard Music Awards (x)

Pink Stitch ‘Jozlyn Crop in Botanica Print’ – $101.00 $61.00
Pink Stitch ‘Cissy Skirt in Botanica Print’ – $110.00 $77.00

An old co-ord Taylor wore while doing promotional spots for the Billboard Music Awards. What a nice change it was to see Taylor rocking a pink lip, am I right?

You can now also check out Taylor Swift Style’s handy co-ord tag to see all of Taylor’s matching coordinates that have dominated this era’s fashion.

Get the look with these dark floral co-ords:
