I am in shock and I have no words.
It’s starting to appear that the defining piece for the Album Five era will indeed be the crop top.
Taylor’s first major appearance of the month (she has a busy promotional-filled August ahead of her) was in this absolutely beautiful tweed crop top and matching skirt form the Novis NYC Spring 2014 collection.
Need I add on that Taylor is wearing my ultimate dream colour: green. And how fabulously does it offset her tan?

Novis NYC ‘Eero Dress’ – $1295.00
I’m fairly speechless from these candids, who knew Taylor had this much experimental verve within her?
Tay exited from her usual gym workout wearing her recently favoured crop top and skirt combo – but with a directional twist provided by the mesh overlay.
While I could have done without the overlay, it does add a certain dreamy floatiness to combat the overt sexiness her usual midriff-baring ensembles provides.
Worn with: Bulgari bag and Christian Louboutin pumps

Alice + Olivia ‘Elenore Crop Top’ – $187.00 $56.10 (on sale!)
Alice + Olivia ‘Davis Pleated Tweed Skirt’ – $110.00
The crop top is back!
Taylor exited her apartment this morning in this knit crop top and skater skirt combo by Alice + Olivia. On this occasion, considering the heavier knitted nature of the fabric, I wish the skirt was a bit longer to compensate for the skin showed via her midriff.
Her hair is utter perfection here. I’m so pleased with the re-shortened length and her fringe!

Reformation ‘Clinton Two Piece in Jingle’ – $198.00
Some may not entirely be on board with Taylor’s latest love for crop tops but I’m personally so excited by this sexy and chic change of pace. A lot may complain about the skirt, but I think the length acts as a great counterbalance to the bralet-style of her top. Plus that central slit continues to keep things interesting.
In the future, I’d personally love to see Taylor rock Reformation’s Azalea two-piece (crop top and midi skirt) in their ‘Net Zero’ print or even their Nectarine crop top and shorts combo in the ‘Monterey print’.
Worn with: Dannijo necklace, Kate Spade bag and Pikolinos sandals
