While the cover highlights 80s glam rock and her other looks in this spread capture Twiggy-esque mod style this Versace pairing is definitely the most psychedelic of all her looks.

Ralph & Russo dress

Fun story about the runway photo on the right. It’s not the exact gown Taylor is wearing, though it is from the same brand. Which I did happen to include in both my BAFTAs and Grammys posts.

The (tragic) backstory here is that I often include my runner-up gowns on my predictions post.

This was a runner-up runner-up gown. A gown that I fell in love with from this collection but a fellow fashion blogger convinced me Tay wouldn’t wear (no shade, just part of the story in the bts scenes of fashion bloggers). So it didn’t even make it onto my public shortlist.

Long story short: ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR GUT because you’ll never know when Taylor Swift will wear a funfetti fringe gown like you thought you would.

Queue me being mad at myself for another 500 years.

Worn with: Lorraine Schwartz earrings and Brian Atwood sandal

Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2019 gown

A soft princess moment. Let’s call it modern Cinderella. Taylor made an appearance to support Joe Alwyn at tonight’s BAFTAs in a pale blue tulle gown by Stella McCartney. Props to Taylor for attending a British event in a well-known British designer.

While it isn’t the couture caped moment I had envisioned, I’ll take this as a very minor win from my BAFTAs predictions given the similarity of the colour to one of my picks.

It’s also drawing very strong similarities to her Marchesa “Back To December” gown she wore on the Speak Now Tour. As well as Lupita Nyong’o’s Prada moment at the 2014 Oscars.

Your thoughts?

Worn with: Delfina Delettrez earrings and Rupert Sanderson sandals
