If you needed a casual reminder that Taylor Swift does – in fact – have legs that could go for days then you’re clearly not paying attention.

Legs aside, I unfortunately have to admit that the model wears the dress to far more sophisticated results than Taylor. As interesting as her Bionda platforms are, the strappy and undeniably sexy sandals from the lookbook are far more intriguing.

However, it’s that cinched bow belt that I’m really missing here. Especially if you consider the bow from those aforementioned ankle-tie heels that would match it perfectly. That, and the fact that I can’t quite get over the weird flounced skirt on either Taylor or the model.

Had this been one of Taylor’s body-con dresses like the floral Zuhair Murad dress she wore to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show or a mini fit-and-flare I would be more behind it. As is, I’m more focused on her amazing legs here and for the gown she’s due to wear tomorrow night at the awards ceremony.

Taylor may have switched up her shoe game tonight but she stuck to her tried-and true favourites: the reigning jeweler of the red carpet Lorraine Schwartz and their sister brand Ofira. Two statement rings and a heavy pair of teardrop jet black earrings complemented her all-over diamond-sequin encrusted LBD.

I feel like the drop earrings were a tad overkill and I’m kind of wishing for a pop of colour somewhere.

Taylor gets major points from a shoe-game perspective for not opting for her usual Jimmy Choos or Louboutins. They’re no Giuseppe Zanotti’s (my preferred shoe designer of choice) but I’m so in love with these ankle-tie platforms and their interesting cutouts I’m willing to forgive just about anything at this point.

Would a delicate, thin-strap sparkly sandal have complemented her flounced mini dress better? Probably. But these are the most interesting pair of heels Taylor has worn in a long time so I’m not complaining.

Statement rings included a double-stone jetblack onyx ring and two jewel-studded rings. Her earrings were also dark stones to match the daring nature of her netted, cutout dress.

When it’s not Louboutins, Taylor favours her Jimmy Choos for red carpet events.

Looking adorably pigeon-toed, the black suede criss-cross straps of these ‘Lottie’ sandals were the perfect accent to Taylor’s crochet-like LBD. Taylor further individualized them by having embellishments placed on the two front criss-cross straps.
