Badgley Mischka Fall 2008
The Met Gala is probably my favourite fashion event of the year and Taylor glittered at the 2008 ball in a Badgley Mischka gown. The theme that year was Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy which I don’t think Taylor exactly hit, but at least she was sparkling and pretty.

Taylor kept her accessories equally simple but girly – matching her black clutch to these adorable black strappy bow pumps.

Calvin Klein ‘Sheath Dress’ – no longer available
Taylor simplified her Calvin Klein satin sheath dress by untwisting the straps for a cleaner finish. Sidenote – isn’t it so fun seeing Taylor wearing this colour pre-2012?

Taylor attended this charity event wearing a sparkly, waist-cinching Badgley Mischka cocktail dress. This was also back when Taylor used to draw a heart on her foot in sharpie – sending everyone into a frenzy wondering if it was a tattoo.
Taylor later expressed that she did, in fact, want the heart tattooed on her but her dad would “sand it off with a beltsander” if she ever did.

French Connection ‘Wood Garden Dress’ – no longer available
In addition to attending the Los Angeles premiere a week prior, Taylor also walked the red carpet at the Nashville premiere of Hannah Montana: The Movie. Taylor contributed the song “Crazier” to the film as well as made a cameo in the movie performing the song in a bar.
