During her folklore set, Taylor pulls out one of Gibson’s most distinctive styles – the Hummingbird which is easily recognizable by its graphic pickguard. While she’s had this one in her guitar arsenal since 2012, it doesn’t make many appearances.

Over the course of Taylor’s three hour set, she takes the time to incorporate multiple acoustic moments. Taylor previously played the standard off-the-shelf cherry version of this guitar during the NYC premiere of the “All Too Well” short film. Here, she plays it in a more on-brand maroon finish.

It warms my heart to see a callback to one of Taylor’s previously most famed guitars from the Fearless era.
Back then, the original sparkly guitar was a Taylor Guitars Grand Symphony that also had Swarovski crystals hand glued to it. As we know from behind the scenes tour footage, this Gibson was also hand-customized by talented, highly specialized musical artisans. 😉

Taylor’s acoustic go-to over the last few years (since approximately 2015). has been the Gibson J-180. She plays it on the Eras Tour in three different versions.

Taylor has owned and played the acoustic J-180 style from Gibson since approximately 2015. She debuted a black version in 2015 and this matte white version in 2017.
Taylor appears to have a soundhole cover placed here – which helps with sound in the live setting on stage and is covering the first distinctive decorative ring around the soundhole.

Taylor has long favoured this particular acoustic body for years dating back to 2015 at that year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards and at the F1 Grand Prix in Austin in 2016.
She also used this guitar in her debut performance of “betty” at the ACMs last year and auctioned off her exact guitar to Christie’s (autographed version pictured, source) to benefit the ACM’s COVID-19 response fund.

During the Reputation Tour’s first few dates, Taylor played her acoustic set mid-way through the show on a black Gibson J-185. She picked up a sparkling green (!!!) version a few shows in and has favoured it ever since.
Beyond changing out Gibson’s split parallelogram inlays for stars, Taylor added a custom truss rod cover spelling out rep in the album’s signature font.
Fun fact: This is the same guitar (albeit in a glittering finish) that she used in one of her AT&T Taylor Swift Now commercials.
