Jessica Jones custom romper

Breaking her pink and blue tradition, Taylor opted for a tinsel-esque purple romper for her appearance on The Voice in France. I’m still appreciative of the updo, bangs, and wispy hair pieces. The volume up top is also almost Bardot-like.

The commentary a lot of you have been waiting for. The comparisons to another infamous light blue romper were unavoidable. Particularly given the unflattering associations this blog has with that Lewk. It even has its own nickname

I appreciate the textural sequins and the movement they create on the bodysuit which seems to mimic the melting moment in the ME! music video where she is wearing this Marchesa dress. This bodysuit also improves upon the original Incident given that its hem length actually commits to what could be considered “shorts”. And also isn’t at odds with a full sleeve look.

I also like the cute details around the shoulders of cutouts. That said, it follows the same essential silhouette we’ve seen from Taylor’s last few “ME!” performances: A silhouette that takes the tightness of a bodysuit and marries it with the leg length of a romper. At this point of repetition, it feels like a go-to performance uniform we may see on tour.

Between the boots that we see here and the lace up platform bootie we saw at Graham Norton, I think Taylor should meet in the middle with a J. Lo inspired dance heel, sans platform. All the moveability of a dance heel, but streamlined and without bulk.

Another pink outing! Her beauty look was again stunning and I’m finding myself pretty amused and intrigued by the almost Western nod this ensemble has taken with those hip fringes.

While the shoes are custom by Jessica, I also think they present a very interesting throwback to the 1989 era. Taylor previously wore a black and pink embellished version of these boots back in 2014.

As suspected, Taylor’s performance ensemble for her second outing of “ME!” was by longtime costume collaborator Jessica Jones.

While I love that we’re seeing Taylor fully embrace and experiment with colour (I love how her makeup took cues from her ensemble and included a pink shadow and dramatic lashes). However, I can’t say I’m a fan of the striped embellished detailing or the haphazard thick fringe hem. A solid skirt at a short length or this dress made into a bodysuit with a solid skirt layered on top would have been preferable.

Jessica Jones/Joseph Cassell custom dress

Taylor’s stylist and resident tour costume designer came together to design this beautiful, fringed, one-shoulder mini dress for her debut performance of “ME!”. I love the colours at play here and think they’re a perfect cotton candy dream.

Fun Fact: Brendon is also rocking a custom design by Jessica and Joseph.
