Reputation Tour | “LWYMMD”/“End Game” | [2/10]

As is the case for her shoes, this entire tour’s wardrobe was designed by the immensely talented Jessica Jones (though a part of me did get very strong Balmain vibes from this gilded black and gold ensemble). I think my favourite part are the slit-to-there zippered portions of her outer jacket.

The Reputation Tour kicked off last night! My predictions for this tour squared mainly on black, snake print, and sequins and I think that’s certainly an accurate description of the wardrobe that we got. 

Taylor kicks off her set wearing a hooded jacket and sequinned leotard, featuring one cold-shoulder arm. The magnificent Jessica Jones, who was largely responsible for the 1989 Tour’s costumes as well, makes a comeback here.

For those who know me, you know that Taylor Swift in green is my ultimate weakness. So obviously this emerald green sequinned outfit skyrocketed to the top of my favourites list for Taylor’s Jingle Ball ensembles. That and the fact that while still oversized on top, at least her top this time had a much shorter hemline to compensate for the looser fitting custom velvet shorts she paired it with. 

You may recall Act N°1 as the brand from her SNL performance.

Worn with: Taylor Swift ring and Fendi boots

I think it’s possible this is my favourite Jingle Ball ensemble thus far. It’s a little sparkly, follows the reputation performance ensemble template we’ve been expecting, and kind of looks like extremely beautiful wrapping paper. 

No surprises as well that it’s by the wonderful Jessica Jones who has thus far provided all of Taylor’s custom performance wear for her Jingle Ball run.

The talented Jessica Jones strikes again. I love how this tartan sweater is essentially rep’s take on holiday performance-wear like the tartan two-piece Jessica herself designed to fit Taylor’s 1989 style at the z100 Jingle Ball just three years ago. 

Note the subtle distressing — another continued theme of reputation style.
