Of Swift’s look at the 2014 VMAs, Cassell says, “I think people were expecting a gown, so when she wore Mary Katrantzou’s alphabet-themed romper, a collective gasp was tweeted and Instagrammed — #legsfordays.

P.S. I refer to this moment as ‘The Incident’

Swift’s pink embellished satin Oscar de la Renta gown with a dramatic floor-sweeping train and contrasting retro-red lip at the Met Ball. “I loved that Taylor and Oscar worked together to create the gown,” says Cassell. “I stepped back and watched two of the most creative people on the planet make something beautiful — it was amazing!”

Performing on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve | January 1, 2015

Jessica Jones/Joseph Cassell custom jacket/crop top/pants
Carlo Pazolini custom heels

Taylor’s entire New Year’s Eve performance was custom courtesy of the current designer of the era Jessica Jones and Taylor’s own stylist Joseph Cassell as well as custom shiny black booties to match her crop top.

While I’m not too crazy about her hair here, I was more concerned about how freezing Taylor must have been in New York in this get up!

“Red” | CMT Music Awards | Nashville, TN | June 5, 2013

Joseph Cassell custom ensemble

Last June when Taylor performed at the CMT Music Awards she also premiered the first major performance of then-single (and album namesake) “Red”.

With the long swishing train and shorts combination reminiscient of her “The Lucky One” outfit and a sparkly bustier similar to the “You Belong With Me” costume, I love the definitive styling of the RED era across all parts of her performing.

The RED Tour | “Money On My Mind” – Sam Smith | London, England #2

Joseph Cassell custom

The things that can happen when you give a stylist a glue gun. The ever-effervescent Joseph Cassell – aka Taylor’s stylist – once again made some magic happen with rhinestones and made this sparkly London tee for Taylor’s second show at the O2 Arena.

That night, she brought out Sam Smith to sing “Money On My Mind.”

Worn with: Miu Miu brogues
