OTT custom jumpsuit

For those not a fan of the transition from pastels to black, Taylor combines the two into this sequin, pattern explosion jumpsuit anchored down by a thick, heavy belt. 

Actress Laura Marano wore a similar printed strapless version of this jumpsuit to the Radio Disney Awards three years ago. 

The blue eyeshadow is a fun take not only on her self-titled makeup but also a playful, lighthearted retro look to pull some of the colours from the jumpsuit. 

My preference between the two jumpsuits served so far is her more reserved harlequin checkered black moment.

Attico ‘Sequin Embellished Jumpsuit’ – $1,480.00

Sparkly and black is always an excellent go-to for a timeless after party look. If I had to nitpick, I would have chosen a pair of closed-toe pumps or strappy sandals to create a cleaner line for her foot and create a stronger distinction between where the jumpsuit cuff ends – but otherwise I love how the strong shoulders continue to allude to all of her suited looks from the red carpet and stage at the award show themselves. A very nice continuation.

Stella McCartney ‘Kiera Dotted Jumpsuit’ – $2,495.00

I suspect a common thread of feedback on this lewk will be … “It’s ugly until Taylor Swift decides it’s not” but I would like to argue that this wasn’t a well thought-out look full stop. The boots, while fierce on their own, don’t tie in to any part of the jumpsuit, and I feel like a more complementary colour could have been chosen given that this performance was going to be photographed and the multicolour base of the jumpsuit doesn’t tie into the guitar in her lap either. 

A red, coral, or even cream look would have made for a nicer base layer in my opinion. 

If I could fix what we’ve been given, it would be to change out the shoes for at least a black or even pink pair.
