The RED Tour | Mean/Stay Stay Stay | [4/11]

Thinking ahead, Marina designed a versatile red bodysuit to slip under the flowing open-concept skirt and high-waisted embellished shorts for “The Lucky One” costuming, but would also suit a cute and simple polka dot skirt like this one.

One of my favourite looks from the tour, Taylor just oozes old-school Hollywood glamour in this open-concept red silk number which includes a deep plunging neckline on a red silk bodysuit (Taylor’s big on illusion panels this tour to avoid any more “wardrobe malfunctions”) complete with elbow-length gloves and sequinned shorts.

The RED Tour | You Belong With Me | [2/11]

Without giving too much away, I am loving the RED Tour version of “You Belong With Me.” It’s a great spin on a Taylor classic hit and she just sparkles in this custom glittery ensemble by the tour’s costume designer Marina Toybina. Old Hollywood gloves and a sateen bustier outline give this girly frock a bit of sex appeal.

Performing at the 2013 BRIT Awards | London, England | February 20, 2013

Marina Toybina Custom Ensemble

Taylor debuted a darker and sexier side to herself during her performance at this years BRITs. The costume comes from the same woman in charge of the circus extravaganza that was present at the Grammys.

The designer reveals it took her and 15 stylists, sewers and dressmakers 10 days to create the costumes for Swift’s Grammys stageshow.

She says, “It was exhausting. We didn’t get much sleep for a week and a half. But it was all worth it when we saw the end result and the look on Taylor’s face made all the effort worthwhile. She was so excited.”

Toybina also confirmed that both sets from the Grammys and the Brits will make a reappearance during the RED Tour which debuts next month (March 13).
