Cartier ‘Juste un Clou Necklace’ – $15,570.00

One of Cartier’s signature designs is the ‘Juste un Clou’ – inspired by the nail. Taylor is relatively new to wearing Cartier, having only just recently worn one of their vintage necklaces this summer. The Juste un Clou is designed with the concept of breaking convention in mind, encouraging the wearer to be “original, independent, fearless, and free.”

I personally love the mix of casual sports attire with high end stacks on stacks of jewelry to “dress up” an otherwise casual ensemble.

Worn with: Ellie Mae sweatshirt, Foundrae bracelet, Jacquie Aiche bracelets, and Reformation loafers

Ellie Mae Studios ‘Vintage Kansas City Chiefs Sweatshirt’ – sold out

Taylor’s continued M.O. for Chiefs home games has been cute casual and centered on comfortable Chiefs merch. This pairing of a cozy sweatshirt and pleated skirt feel very much in her wheelhouse and something we’d see her wear a variation (less football-ified) version of as a street style candid outfit.

Tod’s ‘Logo Plaque Leather Crossbody Bag’ – $2,525.00

While this may be Taylor’s second brown leather crossbody bag from Tod’s in the year 2023, what this brand will always bring me back to is the soft, curvy nude ‘Sella’ tote by Tod’s that Taylor carried relentlessly from April through July in 2014.

Worn with: H&M top, Anthropologie clip

H&M ‘Crochet Top’ – sold out

This laidback look feels like not only something appropriate to the new beachified 1989 (Taylor’s Version) which happens to come out in a week – but is also an example of the accessibility of Taylor’s style. Not only for the brands she selects (like H&M – a brand she used to wear in her early years alongside other accessible street style retailers like Forever 21, Brandy Melville, and Urban Outfitters) but also because this is an outfit that is easy to replicate even if you don’t have the exact pieces.

A claw clip, white crochet top, straight leg jeans, and a brown bag all feel easy to lift from one’s own closet and feel that much ‘closer’ in a sense to Taylor.

Greymer Spring/Summer 2014 sandals – no longer available

If you have ever thought: Surely Taylor doesn’t always consider what she wears and the messaging behind it. This post is for you.

Now defunct, Greymer is an Italian brand established in 1980. More importantly, the shoes Taylor is wearing here are from their Spring/Summer 2014 collection. When the entirety of the fashion world is at your disposal, why wear a pair of shoes from nearly a decade ago that so happens to nod to the year your upcoming re-record was originally released in?

Fashion history aside, I loved how the metallic heel of these sandals continued the gold hardware present through the rest of the outfit (necklace, corset straps, bag).

Worn with: Maria Tash earrings, Gant coat, Mazin Jewels necklace, Versace corset, and Aupen bag

Get the look: Michael Kors, $155.00

Khaite ‘Keene Leather Mini Skirt’ – $2,100.00

It isn’t often that a leather skirt makes one giggle, but this one did because Taylor exhibited an age old habit of wearing things backwards. Here, she chose to wear the exposed zipper of the skirt to the back, to emphasize the unique side seaming detail at the front.

The joy of adding yet another item to the TSS Backwards tag.

Maria Tash ‘Diamond Pear Stud Earring’ – $4,750.00
Maria Tash ‘Invisible Set Diamond Eternity Hoop Earring’ – $1,050.00
Maria Tash ‘Triple Teardrop Marquise Diamond Threaded Stud Earring- $9,800.00

Sometime between Taylor’s final U.S. 2023 dates of the Eras Tour in Los Angeles and her Mexico City dates (specifically the week between August 10 and 17), Taylor added three new lobe piercings to her ears. Two in the right (the pear stud + hoop earring), one in the left (marquise teardrop stud).

I can now happily confirm thanks to the brand that her fresh stack is courtesy of Maria Tash in their yellow gold. The brand does happen to have a piercing studio in NYC and a part of me wonders if she popped in there for some impetuous and fun body mods.

In addition to these additions to her stack, she’s also been playing around recently with temporary ear jewelry – namely a helix cuff that she’s worn in both her left and right ears.
