Stella McCartney 23 Old Bond coat – not available for purchase (similar linked)

According to the designer herself, Taylor’s coat here is a one-off for Stella’s 23 Old Bond collection which Taylor has worn pieces from over the last few months.

And in typical Stella fashion, this teddy-esque/shearling coat is made from 100% cotton and is fur free.

Worn with: Stella McCartney dress + heels and Free People tights

Get the look: Sam Edelman, $129.90

Stella McCartney ‘Wool Coat’ – $1,146.00 (similar)

Taylor wears a version of another Stella McCartney coat first presented in the Pre-Fall 2020 collection. Taylor’s coat obviously differs firstly in colour and in length but the characteristic tab, collar, button, and herringbone print wool detail is echoed in another coat sent to retail and linked above.

Worn with: Free People dress and Frye boots

Get the look: DKNY, $199

Stella McCartney ‘Kerry Wool Coat’ – $1,695.00

Taylor’s exact coat appears to come from Stella’s Pre-Fall collection or some off-runway custom variation for her as the version that ultimately went to retail has a silhouette more akin to a shirt jacket.

Taylor reaaallly leaned into her “British-ness” for this lewk and I love the combination of colours and prints.

What really drives home the sense of satisfaction? The fact that I predicted Taylor wearing this look for her Sundance Film Festival appearance.

Worn with: Madewell pants and Le Monde Beryl flats

Stella McCartney 23 Old Bond jacket and top – not available for purchase

What a lovely surprise on this Friday the 13th (did Taylor coordinate that herself or was it kismet?). Taylor shares the latest cover of Rolling Stone with iconic musician Paul McCartney. Styled and photographed by Paul’s two daughters Stella and Mary, of course Taylor is wearing Stella on the cover.

According to the designer herself, the jacket and top are part of her sustainable 23 Old Bond collection — designed and sold as one-off pieces.

The magazine mentioned Taylor continuing her trend of doing her own hair and makeup so the folklore-ian braid here is on brand for the era as-is the minimal makeup. In terms of styling, if the vibes Stella was going for was British buccaneer I think she nailed it. In addition, the way Taylor’s clothes in terms of colour palette mimic and mirror Paul’s is a nice touch.

Worn with: Ulla Johnson pants and Dolce & Gabbana boots
