Alexander McQueen Fall 2011 RTW

Taylor may have ended her performance in a custom Marina Toybina ensemble, but she began it wearing this super-structured Alexander McQueen gown. The floral lace appliqué bodice was customized with sheer panels and sleeves were added on to hide the black ones of her second outfit underneath.

With The RED Tour coming up so soon (it kicks off in 9 days in Omaha!), I’m personally hoping the white Catherine Deane gown from the AMAs makes a reappearance over this McQueen confection.

Marina Toybina Custom Ensemble

Taylor debuted a darker and sexier side to herself during her performance at this years BRITs. The costume comes from the same woman in charge of the circus extravaganza that was present at the Grammys.

The designer reveals it took her and 15 stylists, sewers and dressmakers 10 days to create the costumes for Swift’s Grammys stageshow.

She says, “It was exhausting. We didn’t get much sleep for a week and a half. But it was all worth it when we saw the end result and the look on Taylor’s face made all the effort worthwhile. She was so excited.”

Toybina also confirmed that both sets from the Grammys and the Brits will make a reappearance during the RED Tour which debuts next month (March 13).
