Ulla Johnson ‘Willet Cargo Trousers’ – $396.25 $207.00

These pants are an unexpected, but jaunty, touch. I do like the paperbag waist trend on pants and both the colour and the fact that they are cargo pants definitely speak back to the reputation era (plus those boots!). If it were me, I may have selected leather pants and more minimal shoes to contrast the boxy/oversized coat.

Worn with: Stella McCartney jacket + shirt and Dolce & Gabbana boots

Stella McCartney 23 Old Bond jacket and top – not available for purchase

What a lovely surprise on this Friday the 13th (did Taylor coordinate that herself or was it kismet?). Taylor shares the latest cover of Rolling Stone with iconic musician Paul McCartney. Styled and photographed by Paul’s two daughters Stella and Mary, of course Taylor is wearing Stella on the cover.

According to the designer herself, the jacket and top are part of her sustainable 23 Old Bond collection — designed and sold as one-off pieces.

The magazine mentioned Taylor continuing her trend of doing her own hair and makeup so the folklore-ian braid here is on brand for the era as-is the minimal makeup. In terms of styling, if the vibes Stella was going for was British buccaneer I think she nailed it. In addition, the way Taylor’s clothes in terms of colour palette mimic and mirror Paul’s is a nice touch.

Taylor Swift ‘The cardigan’ – $49.00

My best guess regarding this cardigan is that Taylor opted to recreate it from a vintage one she found and was inspired by the looks of. This is based on her (confirmed) past choice to recreate a vintage seagull shirt during the 1989 Era.

If you’re curious about styling options, head to the TSS Patreon for four outfits based on even more similars to this cable knit cardigan. Post available under the TSS Mini ($5) option.

Get the look: Topshop, $29.00

Ralph Lauren ‘Burnout Velvet Wrap Maxidress’ – $423.00 (no longer available)

Taylor’s beautiful velvet dress that was spotted in the new version of the “cardigan” music video (how beautiful was the new vocal track for this?) is a sadly sold out piece by Ralph Lauren.

Worn with: Ellen Hunter comb

Get the look: Revolve, $41.00
