Reputation Tour | “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back” ft Shawn Mendes | Pasadena, CA | May 18, 2018 | [6/10] | Version 2

Jessica Jones custom jacket

Taylor brought out her 1989 Tour tourmate Shawn Mendes during her first stint in California to sing “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back”. Following her acoustic set, she switched into her usual Jessica Jones #6 snake bodysuit, but added on this killer red camo sequinned jacket. I dig the buckle waist detail for an extra bit of edge.

Taylor brought out her 1989 Tour tourmate Shawn Mendes during her first stint in California to sing “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back”. Taylor’s final pair of custom Louboutins (four in total) are a flat, laceup combat style. Sequinned, of course. 

As a sidenote: I was definitely a bit thrown by Taylor’s choice in setlist ender. While I guess I could call this somewhat of a win from my predictions post (I had slated “TIWWCHNT” as the setlist penultimate finale, before a “LWYMMD” final encore), the combo with “WANEGBT” was a weird choice.

This outfit definitely brought the feels as it’s practically a patented Taylor tour look, just in a sexier more adult cut. Its striking similarity to this Jenny Packham ensemble from the Fearless Tour was enough to make me tear up at how far she’s come.

Given the proportions and cut, I could have easily seen this sequinned blazer on the 1989 Tour costume circuit. Or, at least, worn while performing a song off the album. 

That said, Taylor dons her final Jessica Jones custom bodysuit (to be revealed in full next) underneath a sparkly sequin jacket and her final pair of Louboutin boots.

For a chilling performance of “Don’t Blame Me” (possibly my favourite performance on the tour) as well as a heartfelt mashup set on the piano, Taylor wears a custom embellished gown by Jessica Jones. Given the dramatic swooping cut on the hemline, I originally thought this gown was a one-legged jumpsuit. I now almost wish it was! 

I kind of dig the 70s vibes with the pumped up shoulders on this.
