Reputation Tour | “Dress” | [7/10]

Many of you accurately predicted that there may be some layer removing aspect of Taylor’s performance of “Dress”. For this song (and one of my faves off the album), she added on a sheer belted over her previous snakeprint bodysuit, playfully removing it during the performance. 

As per my points on the bodysuit underneath, this was probably my favourite tour costume.

Of course, snake print had to come into play not only in Taylor’s props, staging, and visuals but also in her wardrobe. 

This is probably my favourite tour outfit so far — for obvious green-leaning reasons. My only modification would be perhaps to slim the belt profile, but that’s nit-picking.

Reputation Tour | Acoustic Set | [5/10]

Moving onto her acoustic set, Taylor makes a quick change into a custom patchwork jacket covered in florals, sparkles, and obvious allusions to the reputation era. 

On night one of the tour in Glendale she performed “Dancing With Our Hands Tied” and fan favourite “All Too Well” on acoustic guitar. It will remain to be seen if one or both of these songs are going to be permanent additions to the setlist or will be Taylor’s traditional rotating song that will be a random choice of her song discography.

Christian Louboutin ‘Glorymount Studded Buckle Boot’ – $1,695.00 (sold out)

While Taylor’s entire shoe wardrobe for the tour is provided by Christian Louboutin, this particular pair was previewed via her Instagram as she wore them during tour rehearsal.

Taylor wears both a matte (pictured) and patent leather version of these boots throughout the tour. The patent version catches the light much easier than this matte leather version, making them appear sparkly and/or a different pair of boots completely.

While it isn’t the Ashish number I predicted, I think I’ll still take points for this outfit being 1. Rainbow 2. Fringed 3. Sparkly. 

It’s a delight to see Taylor continue her love for all things rainbow as it’s a fun and funny contrast to the dark, moody look that a lot of the era’s other calling cards (snakes, camo, distressing).
