Erdem Resort 2020

I’m intrigued by a few things here and here they are in descending order:

1. Blondes In Yellow™

2. Beautiful makeup

3. Lovely earring

4. What an interesting hair choice. Typically, I would associate such tightly done braids like this with a woman about to get in a HIIT workout or who is attending some kind of military-esque obstacle course. This is complete speculation, but with such a romantic dress and an inherently romantic album to promote, one can very easily distinguish the difference between soft, pulled-apart crown braids over something tightly done and utilitarian as these braids. And given the material of the interview with both its gripping vulnerability and the new toughness and guarded shell Taylor has had to develop over the years … it’s interesting.

Gucci Resort 2020 jacket and shirt

Rolling Stone said “Blondes In Yellow™” and Taylor Swift Style said hell yeah.

In one of her deepest cutting interviews in years, Taylor graced the cover of RS wearing a sunny, vibrant bow-accented look from Gucci’s latest runway. I have to say that I much prefer the fun take that makeup artist Andrew Gallimore took for this yellow look over the more moody original presentation on the Gucci runway.

This is also one of two yellow looks in the entire spread and continues to add to the Blondes In Yellow™ looks that we’ve been presented with this era. A part of me wonders if part of it is an intentional shoutout on Taylor’s part to the album-name-that-could-have-been for Lover and a symbolic representation of the daylight and golden sunshine she basks her life in now. It’s a comforting thought.

Dehen 1920 ‘Varsity Jacket in Navy/Gold’ – no longer available

Taylor wore a familiar-looking varsity jacket (not exact, though same brand) on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine!

What a different look compared to the Marie Claire and Glamour spreads we got earlier this month.
