Manolo Blahnik x Carmen March houndstooth boots – not available for purchase

These boots were designed by Manolo Blahnik to perfectly blend into the glen plaid pattern of Carmen March’s Fall 2019 collection. I’m personally not mad about the neck to toe consistent use of pattern.

Worn with: Carmen March coat + top + pants and Mateo jewelry

Carmen March ‘Wide Leg Pant’ – $1,920.00 (no longer available)

There are some outfits that are looks. And then there are outfits that are lewks. And even further still there are outfits that are LEWKS.

This is the latter.

Some may argue that it’s a bit too much of a pattern explosion and even a single solid piece (either shoes, jacket, or non-matching separates) somewhere in this outfit would have tempered the assault of pattern (houndstooth? tweed? plaid? houndsweedaid?). But I, for one, absolutely adore the bold and relentless choice to go balls out with pattern from literal neck to toe.

This is a massive, massive businesswoman in charge look and I am here for it.

If I were to nitpick (which, lbr, how often do I control myself from that) I would have gone with a deeper brown/red lip or a plum colour. I inherently just associate darker lips with darker seasonal times as well as edgier looks. A deep lip, imo, is a bold lip and would have continued to serve very well with this.

But that’s a super small detail. I’ll take the rest of this with a chef’s kiss. Including the eye brightening eyeshadow and what look like pearl spiral earrings.

The hair is a whole other talking point. For the brief window of time where a million heart attacks occurred over this being a potential bob cut, it appears to be a convincingly done and beautifully textured pinned updo.

What do you think of this LEWK.

Worn with: Mateo jewelry and Manolo Blahnik x Carmen March boots

Get the look: ASOS jumpsuit, $92.00 and J. Crew booties, $162.99

Jimmy Choo ‘April Suede Criss Cross Sandals’ – $437.00 (sold out)

Taylor attended Claire Winter’s wedding a few years ago but we only have a recent post via her Instagram Stories (Dec 28) to thank for a photo of her. In addition to what appears to be a black jumpsuit, she wore a pair of sandals by her trusty go-to shoe brand Jimmy Choo.
