Making Of A Song: “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things” | December 19, 2017

Pop ‘St Laurent Sneakers in Black Licorice’ – $128.00 $76.80

I’ve loved seeing this more fun and intimate side of Taylor that we’ve been able to see in these Making Of A Song features, particularly with friend Jack Antonoff. In one of her funnier moments, Taylor was dressed in a monochrome black outfit that included a highly requested pair of light-up shoes. 

After speaking with the brand, I’m reasonably confident that these are exact.

Gucci ‘Amilina Embellished Platform Loafers’ – $2,500.00

An unexpected but fun styling moment with these interesting Gucci loafers. Loafers have never been my shoe silhouette of choice, and my brain would have immediately paired this coat (and bra) with a heeled combat boot, possibly in a shade of burgundy.

Gucci ‘Amilina Embellished Platform Loafers’ – $2,500.00

An unexpected but fun styling moment with these interesting Gucci loafers. Loafers have never been my shoe silhouette of choice, and my brain would have immediately paired this coat (and bra) with a heeled combat boot, possibly in a shade of burgundy.

Fendi ‘Burgundy Velvet Biker Boots’ – $1,100.00

I not only love the rich burgundy colour of these boots but also how by pairing them with an emerald top and shorts set that it was a muted ode to traditional Christmas colours of green and red.

Balmain ‘Army Ranger Studded Boots’ – $1,600.00 $1,120.00 (on sale)

I love that Taylor continues to rotate her performance shoes with each Jingle Ball she does. We’ve already seen her in pairs of Louboutins, so it was only a matter of time before she busted out a pair of Balmain boots. 

I’m personally waiting for a pair of Gucci snake boots like these next.
