Reformation ‘Amira Slingback Loafers’ – $248.00

Another example of Taylor combining her typical style with current trends. Lug sole loafers and this type of slingback take on a chunky loafer are popular as of late and I like the overall cohesive attempt to coordinate grounding black pieces with our first shot of true, vibrant colour in some time!

Malone Souliers ‘Chunky Sole Lace Up Shoes’ – $1,031.00

Taylor has worn many iterations of the laceup oxford flat over the years.

What brings this particular outing into the modern day (or shall I say throwback trend way) is the accessorizing with ruffly, exposed socks and the chunkier, lug sole (her past preference for oxford flats was more streamlined).

Worn with: Catbird NYC necklace, The Row shirt, Patou bag, and Free People skort

Vintage Philadelphia Eagles sweatshirt
Chris Stapleton ‘Green 47 Hat’ – $30.00
Catbird NYC x Phoebe Bridgers ‘Kissing Skull Friend Charm Set’ – $130.00
Adidas x Ivy Park ‘Savage V4 Sneakers’ – $125.00 (sold out)

Taylor was spotted out in New York appearing to be low-key and sporting some of her most charming personal interests as fashion in one very Princess Diana athleisure-driven outfit.

A Philly Eagles sweatshirt denoting her lifelong love of the team and her home state (and a certain lyric in “gold rush”), a Chris Stapleton (fanmade) hat as reference to his guest vocals on “IBYTAM” (and perhaps beyond?), and a friendship necklace from Eras Tour opener Phoebe Bridgers’ collaborative collection with New York-based jeweller Catbird NYC (a collection we already know she’s worn and loved).

Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) | July 7, 2023

Capezio ‘Leather Juliet Shoe’ – $42.00

I’ve often seen it said in the past that the lines between Taylor’s fashion demarked by eras is the most blurred at the cusp between Fearless and Speak Now. So it’s all the more interesting to see this next fashionable moment in Speak Now TV’s reclamation to include a subtle homage to Fearless and its neverending “Love Story”.

I personally like to think of Speak Now as that precipice moment. The album that crystallized the falling from the ivory tower. That fleeting moment as a princess realizes the fairytales she once dared to dream perhaps were nightmares after all. It’s the start of a disillusionment with grandeur, yet still hopelessly scrabbling to hold on to something optimistic, dreamy, whimsical, and innocent.

Anine Bing ‘Waylon Slides’ – $450.00

I love an outfit that carries consistent colour tones throughout. It’s a simple and underrated styling trick.

This outfit is anchored by a lot of black via her dress, belt, and shoes with secondary neutrals courtesy of her brown tortie sunglasses and cognac bag, plus a subtle sparkle via the gold hardware of her jewelry, belt, and sandal buckles.

Worn with: Cartier necklace, Mansur Gavriel bag and Anine Bing sunglasses
