1989 Tour | “Wildest Dreams”/”Enchanted” | [9/11]

Jessica Jones custom skirt

When Taylor did her duet with John Legend for her penultimate show in Los Angeles, she actually stood up from the piano so we could get a full-body look at this beautiful and ethereal ensemble — skirt included.

The bodysuit underneath Taylor wears solo for her performance of “Out Of the Woods”, but the romantic gold tulle skirt is yet another custom by Jessica Jones.

Worn with: Zuhair Murad bodysuit(s) and Stuart Weitzman booties

Alice + Olivia ‘Rachelle Beaded Brocade Midi Gown Skirt’ – $1,198.00

I love that Taylor opted for a midi-length skirt for once over a mini hemline. Pairing it with a long-sleeve scoop neck shirt may have added to the ballet-esque quality of the skirt (as A+O’s lookbook styled it via the link above).

1989 Tour | “How You Get the Girl” | [4/11] | Versions 1 + 2

Asher Levine custom

“Bad Blood” music video costumer Asher Levine custom-created Taylor’s light-up top and skirt (as well her dozen back-up dancers suits) for the adorable lite-brite performance of “How You Get the Girl.”

Personally, this track has never been a favourite of mine but I really loved the charming performance for the tour. It made me like the song a little bit more!

During the later tour dates, Taylor switched the original tank version of this light-up top to a bandeau-style one.

Worn with: Stagelight Premiere heels

Jessica Jones custom skirts

Besides their accompanying jackets, Taylor’s range of metallic skirts have also been a major request for TSS-ers — especially those attending 1989 World Tour shows! 

After conversing with the designer herself, Jessica confirmed to me that she designed five different skirts for Taylor to cycle through for her opening number costume.

I think my personal favourites are the space grey (center) and teal (center left).

Urban Outfitters ‘Amber Pocket A-Line Skirt’ – $59.00

Nice to see Taylor inject some colour into her Loft/M&G wardrobe! Taylor wore a red crop top with this plaid skirt she previously wore while visiting Austin at Notre Dame.

Coincidentally, Taylor also owns the model’s pictured crop top. She wore it to the 1989 Tour M&G in Chicago.
