Novis NYC Spring 2014

I am in shock and I have no words. 

It’s starting to appear that the defining piece for the Album Five era will indeed be the crop top.

Taylor’s first major appearance of the month (she has a busy promotional-filled August ahead of her) was in this absolutely beautiful tweed crop top and matching skirt form the Novis NYC Spring 2014 collection. 

Need I add on that Taylor is wearing my ultimate dream colour: green. And how fabulously does it offset her tan?

Robert Rodriguez ‘Plaid Skort’ – $265.00

I feel like I haven’t heard the term “skort” since I was in middle school.

Nevertheless, the design on these plaid number let Taylor be loose and leggy at the same time to enjoy the party atmosphere — no short hemline-related scares to worry about.

N/TICE ‘Striped Linen A-Line Mini’

Taylor’s striped mini skirt from the other day is from New York brand N/TICE’s Fall 2014 collection.

I’ve always been a big fan of this particular colour pairing (blues and goldenrods/creams) as I find it brings out Taylor’s natural colouration — accentuating her blonde hair and blue eyes.

Taylor’s striped mini skirt from the other day is from New York brand N/TICE’s Fall 2014 collection.

I’ve always been a big fan of this particular colour pairing (blues and goldenrods/creams) as I find it brings out Taylor’s natural colouration — accentuating her blonde hair and blue eyes.

Alice + Olivia ‘Davis Pleated Tweed Skirt’ – $110.00

The crop top is back! 

Taylor exited her apartment this morning in this knit crop top and skater skirt combo by Alice + Olivia. On this occasion, considering the heavier knitted nature of the fabric, I wish the skirt was a bit longer to compensate for the skin showed via her midriff. 

Her hair is utter perfection here. I’m so pleased with the re-shortened length and her fringe!

Alice + Olivia ‘Vance Boatneck Boxy Raglan Top’ – $176.00 $106.60
Alice + Olivia ‘Blase Flare Skirt’ – $220.00

Taylor first wore this peachy outfit on Father’s Day before changing into a yellow floral Oscar de la Renta dress. And I’m so glad Taylor decided to rewear it as we didn’t get decent pictures on its first outing.

While at first glance it would sort of seem that the boxy fit of Taylor’s top makes her look like she’s drowning in fabric. But I actually feel like the looser silhouette creates a balance between the super short hemline of her skirt — softening the look.

I’m absolutely loving Taylor in pastels and her accessories here were spot on. Including that fresh white mani she’s sporting — the perfect finish to such a summery outfit.
