The Eras Tour | Speak Now Section | Version 5

Of course, what better way to honour Speak Now TV release weekend than a new and incredibly purple dress for what we can actually call a Speak Now ‘set’ thanks to Taylor surprising the crowd with fan favourite “Long Live” played on her heartwarmingly nostalgic Taylor Guitars koi fish 6-string she played every night on the Speak Now Tour.

The ombré sparkly multi layered tier confection here really is giving gown shaped like a pastry. It’s subtle, but I do like the accent details at the waist that add a little something of interest and also extra definition to give that voluminous skirt extra oomph.

And please don’t think it escaped my notice that this gown has three tiers.

It’s a dress worthy of Speak Now’s penchant for pageantry and romantic whimsy. I’m still partial to Version 1 but love seeing the “Enchanted” dress continue to rack up new versions.

Magnolia Pearl ‘Sefi Oeuvre Slip’ – $400.00

My very first thought upon seeing this promo clip for SNTV was actually, “What in the evermore?”. Which turned out to be a spot-on initial impression as Taylor wore quite a lot of Magnolia Pearl vintage-inspired slips like this during promo for both folklore and evermore.

That side braid and long layered necklace though is peak Speak Now accessorizing 101.

Catbird NYC x Phoebe Bridgers ‘Kissing Skull Friend Charm Set’ – $490.00

It’s been so fascinating to see Taylor’s relationship with jewelry change over the last few months. The rotation in of chunkier pieces, necklace layering, and large hoops represent a shift in styling that I can’t help but feel is indulgent and fun. And perhaps inspired by the jewels she wears on the Eras Tour. Speaking of!

Many of you will recognize the thicker chain also worn here as one that Taylor has been seen out with a number of times over the last few weeks. It bears similarity to the ‘Medusa’ chain by Versace she wears on the Eras Tour during the opening Lover set but features a different clasp. As always, when/if an item is found, a post will go live.

Ralph Lauren ‘Top Handle Bag’ – $1,800.00 (similar)

RL is one of those long-standing brands Taylor has loved and worn a lot over the years – including their apparel. She’s owned and loved tons of their cable knit sweaters and worn enviable wool coats or items with their signature Americana equestrian touches over the years. But it’s their bags that she’s turned to most often – I know I have fond memories of the brown leather saddle bags she so favoured in 2011-2012.

Here, Taylor appears to carry a similar cross body version of a bag retailing as part of the brand’s current RL Collection Summer 2023 line. You’ll note that her version doesn’t have a top handle detail and also has some lovely gold hardware shoulder strap attachments rather than the more subtle under-flap construction of the one currently retailing.
