Celebrating New Year’s with friends (x/x) | January 1, 2014

Thanks Skylar!

Hervé Léger ‘Faith A-Line Bandage Dress’ – $1250.00

Taylor quietly celebrated bringing in the New Year with friends in her Nashville apartment. Among them was actress Sarah Hyland and her best friend Abigail Anderson. She partied it up in the famous Hervé Lèger bandage dress – rocking a more party-friendly a-line skirt over the more traditional bodycon silhouette that HL is known for.

With every new picture Taylor posts, the questions over whether she will actually cut her hair into a Karlie Kloss bob gets more and more intense. But as we can see from the side view here, Taylor’s choppy layers still remain intact.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

RED Tour – Treacherous

Sarah: The ballerina visuals that inspired Taylor’s outfit for her “Treacherous” performance were some of my favourites for the entire tour. Walking delicately across a rising balance beam that lifted up from her stage, I adored the use of backlighting that enhanced Taylor’s perilous twirls across the stage as well as the frothy layers of her Moschino tutu.

RED Tour – I Knew You Were Trouble.

Sarah: While I will still always favour the original Marina Toybina costume the designer created for the first ever “I Knew You Were Trouble.” performance at the 2012 American Music Awards, I did love the lace bodice-and-shorts reincarnation that first appeared at the 2013 BRITs and was then later brought back onto the tour.

What sets these high-waisted black shorts apart from the myriad that Taylor wore throughout her 2013 performances was the intricate gold detailing that ran along the sides and up onto the intricate lace-inset top.

RED Tour – State of Grace/Holy Ground/Red (Version 1.0)

Sarah: Taylor’s first version of her first tour wardrobe ensembles was my favourite out of all her costume changes throughout the show and between tour dates. I loved the intricate lace details of the top and how the costume designer Marina incorporated sparkly gold pieces throughout the floral print.

Her coated BLEULAB high-waisted shorts were also a racier change of pace for Taylor’s usual black shorts she used as her RED-era performance staple.
