Laila Azhar ‘Belted Strapless Dress’ – no longer available

On her second day of hosting TRL, Taylor switched from white to black (and our stock photo switches from black to white … weird) in this strapless belted dress by Laila Azhar. The same Zanotti mary janes from the day before completed her outfit. As well as her customary wrist-ful of bracelets that she loved to wear back then.

Laila Azhar ‘Belted Strapless Dress’ – no longer available

Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Peep Toe Buckle Mary Janes’ – £160.00 (black, pre-owned)

I’ve confessed in the past that one of my favourite shoe designers is Giuseppe Zanotti. And way back when, these metallic mary jane peep-toes were a favourite pair of Taylor’s.

Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Peep Toe Buckle Mary Janes’ – £160.00 (black, pre-owned)

I’ve confessed in the past that one of my favourite shoe designers is Giuseppe Zanotti. And way back when, these metallic mary jane peep-toes were a favourite pair of Taylor’s.

Laila Azhar ‘One Shoulder Ruffle Dress’ – no longer available

Back in 2008, Taylor spent a week guest hosting for the music show Total Request Live. Happily, this meant a string of adorable dresses and heels were worn during her hosting duties, culminating in a performance at the end of the week of the biggest hits from her self-titled album.

I still have – and love – Taylor’s performance of “Teardrops” from TRL and I’m so glad she got to host the show before it got canceled in September of that year.

Amy Claire ‘Essential Party Dress’ – no longer available

Essential, indeed! Comprised of simple colour-locked neutrals, Taylor opted to lengthen the hem of the black tulle overlay skirt as well as added straps. Both wise choices as they probably made sitting in those chairs a whole lot more comfortable.
