RED Tour – Treacherous

Sarah: The ballerina visuals that inspired Taylor’s outfit for her “Treacherous” performance were some of my favourites for the entire tour. Walking delicately across a rising balance beam that lifted up from her stage, I adored the use of backlighting that enhanced Taylor’s perilous twirls across the stage as well as the frothy layers of her Moschino tutu.

RED Tour – I Knew You Were Trouble.

Sarah: While I will still always favour the original Marina Toybina costume the designer created for the first ever “I Knew You Were Trouble.” performance at the 2012 American Music Awards, I did love the lace bodice-and-shorts reincarnation that first appeared at the 2013 BRITs and was then later brought back onto the tour.

What sets these high-waisted black shorts apart from the myriad that Taylor wore throughout her 2013 performances was the intricate gold detailing that ran along the sides and up onto the intricate lace-inset top.

RED Tour – State of Grace/Holy Ground/Red (Version 1.0)

Sarah: Taylor’s first version of her first tour wardrobe ensembles was my favourite out of all her costume changes throughout the show and between tour dates. I loved the intricate lace details of the top and how the costume designer Marina incorporated sparkly gold pieces throughout the floral print.

Her coated BLEULAB high-waisted shorts were also a racier change of pace for Taylor’s usual black shorts she used as her RED-era performance staple.

Club Red – Newark (Mar. 27) / Toronto (June 14) / Sydney (Dec. 4) / San Antonio (May 22)

Sarah: Free People dresses dominated the majority of Taylor’s Club RED outfits as she greeted fans in her exclusive post-show meet and greets. In Newark and Sydney I loved the free-flowing boho silhouettes. Especially the intricate sleeves on the Newark dress and the detailing around the hem and shoulders of the Sydney dress.

Like the T-Party on the Speak Now Tour that preceded the RED Tour, ModCloth dresses were also prominent during the meet and greets. I especially loved these two pretty floral ones from the Toronto and San Antonio shows. Perfectly feminine and very Taylor.
