Long believed to be vintage, Taylor’s beautiful floral dress she wore while in Australia is by Australian designer Alannah Hill. This has long been a favourite piece of mine and it’s awesome to finally find out that Taylor was repping Australia with this vintage-inspired piece!

SWOON! Oh how little we knew the vintage fashion that would yet to come from this candid. It’s funny trying to think of where I was mentally at during the time of writing the original post. I had no clue in March 2012 that this would become Taylor’s signature style for the coming era. And, in fact, had significantly less history to go on with examples of Taylor so clearly distinguishing between her bodies of work and using fashion as a tool to delineate those time periods.
Note the string of pearls and velvet smoking slippers. So retro.
