Dehen 1920 ‘Varsity Jacket in Navy/Gold’ – no longer available

Taylor wore a familiar-looking varsity jacket (not exact, though same brand) on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine!

What a different look compared to the Marie Claire and Glamour spreads we got earlier this month.

The smudged eyeliner, the casual pose, the mussed hair, the leg being bared fully. The strangeness in this choice for the cover of Rolling Stone is still something I’m reeling with eight years later. Fun fact Taylor also wore this jacket was photographed walking around NYC in August 2012 while shooting this very cover story.

Harper’s Bazaar magazine | December/January 2013

Prada Resort 2013 RTW

Here, Taylor’s look is grabbed in full from the runway (the benefits of being sample size).

Personally, I’m definitely preferring the way Taylor wears her Prada top tucked in to her high-waisted pants as opposed to the loose version on the runway. Much more sleek, in my opinion.

Also ditching those horrendous sandals was a smart move.

There are so many candids from early 2012/late 2011 that will forever have a fondness in my memory as some of the first in TSS’ history. This Topshop coat being one of them. I can even remember publishing those Skullcandy headphones on a gigantic desktop computer running Windows 7. A fun fact is that I believe during Swiftmas Taylor actually gave this coat away to a fan.

Oh look. It’s the very first full outfit post ever published to TSS all those years ago on October 13, 2011. I think I’ll always forever have such a soft attachment to this outfit and still be able to recollect every part of trying to figure out how to identify fashion and brands. Looking back, I still love a timeless trench. And funnily Taylor actually ended up wearing those very same Miu Miu heels four years after this photo was taken in March 2015 — proving that Taylor does indeed hold on to some of her pieces in her closet.
