Taylor Swift Style Turns Ten 10×10: Introduction + Patreon Exclusive

Next week — on October 13, 2021 — Taylor Swift Style will officially turn 10.

To celebrate this landmark occasion, I’ve gone through the archives and have pulled together my Top 10 favourite Taylor appearances in a few select categories:

Awards, Events, Photoshoots, and Candids.

On October 13, I’ll be posting all four of these round ups as well as my renewed commentary now a decade into this whole crazy blogging game to taylorswiftstyle.com as well as @taylorswiftstyled on Instagram.

But if you’re interested in gaining early access to this content, round ups are going live all this week on the TSS Patreon.

In fact, this week the Awards and Events posts have already gone live. The Photoshoots post is scheduled for Thursday, October 7 and Candids on Friday, October 8.

I hope you enjoy this list that I spent so much time walking down memory lane to create and I can’t wait to share with all TSSers in full next week and chat with TSS Patreon subscribers on all my faves a week early.

Warmly,
Sarah

TAYLOR SWIFT STYLE – CMT PREDICTIONS

One thing I will say about the folklore era, as little as we know thus far about its impending style direction in a formal setting, we can at least appreciate the concerted heads up of Taylor’s appearances.

While I’m unsure if her presenting role at this year’s CMT Awards will be pre-recorded from the solitude of whatever property she is currently holed up in and we’ll receive some kind of casual Free People-esque lewk from the chest up or if there will be a proper styling Lewk that we receive, I’m working under the hope for the latter, but probably to a less glamorous extent compared to year’s previous.

Taylor’s history at the CMT Awards has consistently centered on a short hemline, something I wonder if Taylor has grown out of for this era.
My choices reflect a possible more laidback appearance as well as a subtle honouring of her appearing at a country awards show with a bit of warmth.

Full post is up on the TSS Patreon right here, available at the TSS EXLUSIVES ($8) tier.

Post also includes allllll the fun variations and behind-the-scenes content for how I got to the final four lewks.

TAYLOR SWIFT STYLE – LOVER FEST

This was such a bittersweet series to create. If you were around for it, you may recall I previously made an entire predictions series for the Reputation Tour which you can check out here. Unsurprisingly, one of the most-requested pieces of content since then has been a similar predictions series to Lover Fest/Tour. As we all know by now, of course, Lover Fest has been indefinitely postponed. But what I refuse to put off, even in this age of darkness, is the light of creativity and wonderment and discussion and thought.

I’ve said it many times, but I will say it again here: the goal of the TSS Predictions series has never been accuracy (though I work very hard to try to be as logical and thoughtful as possible and if correct guesses come about, that’s just a bonus to the real goal). The goal has, and always will be, fostering conversation and thought about Taylor and fashion and Taylor’s fashion. Which I certainly hope these choices do!

As always, there was the likelihood that even with Lover Fest moving forward most of her tour pieces would have been custom (as they often are). But if a global pandemic and an entire concert cancellation would not stop this series from happening, neither would the realistic nature of ready-to-wear vs custom.

So here we go.

P.S. For your convenience, I’ve also created a Spotify playlist of my proposed Lover Fest setlist for your listening pleasure while you read. You can listen to the TSS Lover Fest Spotify playlist here.

Bonus: Personal Styling Client Testimonials

The below is from a lovely client I worked with to develop a capsule collection. She was such a gem to work with and creating her feisty, but office-friendly, wardrobe was so much fun for me.

“I was so excited when Sarah began doing fashion consultations because my closet was in desperate need of a refresh. I chose the “Capsule” level because I was looking for high-quality, unique pieces that could be mixed and matched in many different ways and compliment my existing wardrobe. Sarah delivered above and beyond what I was expecting. She listened to my needs and really worked to find pieces that encompassed my style and felt quintessentially “me”, while also giving me new pieces that will spice up my look and make me feel like the best possible version of myself. I am so excited to start collecting and wearing the pieces that Sarah selected for me. Working with her was a dream and I highly recommend her for any of your styling needs!” — K.S.

But my favourite part of her testimony was:

“Sarah turned all of my looks into LEWKS”

YES!

If you’ve ever been curious about personal styling, I promise to do everything in my power to make sure you don’t regret making the decision to invest in yourself. I currently have a $20 and $50 tier options for a single lewk or a whole capsule collection.
