TAYLOR SWIFT STYLE – REPUTATION TOUR

Azzaro Spring 2018 Couture OR Ashish Fall 2018

  • ACOUSTIC SET
  • I Don’t Want To Live Forever/Random Song
  • Wildest Dreams
  • Call It What You Want
  • New Year’s Day

Before heading on over to a respective b-stage for her traditional acoustic set, I’d envision Taylor making the switch into a more comfortable and short dress. This one bears strong similarities to a Jessica Jones one piece she wore during the 1989 Tour, but I think it’s an appropriate call out to all the times she’s worn and loved a metallic fringe outfit for tour.

See: her Roberto Cavalli gold number from the Speak Now Tour and black/white Mandalay dress from the Fearless Tour.

My second choice is another Ashish rainbow dress — a look that Taylor has already worn twice so far in two different silhouettes this era (1, 2). This fringed version is perfect for the movement of walking around on stage and catching the light.

Azzaro Spring 2018 Couture

  • Dress
  • Delicate

Of course, for a song like “Dress”, Taylor has to be wearing a fabulous gown.

While there is a certain part of me that can see a dramatic and theatrical performance of this complete with a partnered bit of choreography on Taylor’s part in a slinky, silk slip dress à la Selena on Saturday Night Live, I could also equally see a simple stand-and-look-gorgeous performance of this song too.

And how beautiful would this gown look under stage lights if that were the case?

Ashish Spring 2018

  • Blank Space
  • Gorgeous
  • Love Story (remix)
  • King Of My Heart
  • Shake It Off

Taylor has been a fan as of late of Ashish’ sequinned rainbow garments, so when I stumbled across this lovelorn graphic tee from their Spring 2018 runway, I thought it was a cheeky reference to Taylor’s overanalyzed love life. Plus, wearing it while singing some of her most iconic songs about romance (and her latest love) is just a funny and charming image to me.

From the runway, I’d only grab the top — pairing it with Taylor’s Jingle Ball go-to combo of sequin shorts, fishnets, and ankle boots.

Valentino Spring 2018

  • I Knew You Were Trouble
  • End Game

The minute I saw this cool ensemble that mixes an oversized, toughened look with a sheer and sensual mesh two-piece I immediately thought it would be amazing for tour. It has the large/boxy silhouette Taylor has been turning to, but a touch of sex appeal thanks to the exposed torso.

  • Don’t Blame Me/Haunted mashup

I couldn’t imagine a more fitting mashup than “Don’t Blame Me”/”Haunted”. But whether Taylor would actually bring back this old Speak Now favourite doesn’t feel likely (but a girl can dream). And speaking of dreaming, I envision her delivering it in this killer couture pant suit ensemble. Because I am still waiting for a spectacular black suit moment from her this era.
