The pronouncement of those braids and their utilitarian toughness feel even more significant here. Doesn’t this amazing hooded silk piece by Valentino bring to mind a wrestling hooded robe that’s shaken off by the fighter just before entering the ring?

Further, it’ll be a crime if we don’t get more Valentino moments throughout this era. And while we’re at it, I’d also like to throw Prada, Chloé, and Rodarte as other Lover-worthy brand suggestions.

I always love seeing Taylor wear Valentino in her photoshoot spreads, like this sweet-but-daring nature inspired little number from the Spring 2015 runway.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of this shoot that photographer Damon Baker previously alluded to a few months ago as well as Taylor’s role as guest editor for this issue!
