Versace ankle strap heels 

My favourite kind of heels — a minimalist strappy pair — completed Taylor’s look for tonight. The inset is Penelope Cruz who has worn every shade of these shoes under the sun. It’s my current understanding these pairs are custom made by the Atelier and not available for general sale as Penelope has worn these heels (in various colours) while decked out in Versace gowns.

Atelier Versace custom gown

Taylor hit a major curve ball by surprising everyone with a guest appearance presenting at the 2018 Golden Globes. 

As soon as I saw this figure-hugging off-shoulder gown I knew Versace had to have something to do with it and it had to be custom. The thigh high slit, off-shoulder straps and slight lace up detail are all subtly, but elegantly sexy, details of this gown. 

Worn with: Lorraine Schwartz earrings + Ofira rings and Versace sandals

Atelier Versace custom gown

Taylor stunned everyone not just by her mere presence at tonight’s BBMAs in Las Vegas, but also by her choice in dress. Given this era’s penchant for everything dark, reptilian, and camouflaged, she completely veered left in this stunning pastel pink gown by Versace. 

Donnatella herself confirmed that this gown took over 800 hours to make. 

I personally love the soft colour as it’s a refreshing move on Taylor’s part as well as the Speak Now-esque updo. What brings it into 2018 is that up-to-there slit and of course the pseudo-cape drape from the extra bit of fabric over her back which I think elevates the look further.
